You are really talented in music composition! I never had the chance to see your profile up to now, and I may say your skills are very impressive. Very nice orchestrations on all of your work. This is the 9th song I listen from you, and I'm never disappointed. I'll keep an eye on your compositions, I love them! Keep up your awesome work! :)
2:06 - I thought you were going on The Simpsons theme :P

5/5 10/10, instant favourite

Deemo-R responds:

Thanks sebastien! Orchestral stuff is really what I aspire to do, so I'm glad you like it! And yeah- my friend who first heard this immediately brought up the Simpsons similarity lol. I had a very linear approach to writing in lydian mode at the time.

I really enjoy your work, too! Keep it up! :D

Really nice loop! I can imagine something like a scene after a terrible accident, where the main character is trying to find a solution to help all those people, and finally find this solution in the end.

... And I may add, there is someone having a big fun voting 0 on almost every picoday submissions. So let's vote 5 on this one because you really deserve it. Good job mate!

Phonometrologist responds:

Ah thank you for that wonderful imagery and letting me know your sentiments about the piece!

Hey nice to hear you singing over your music! At some points it makes me think of Mathew Bellamy's voice especially between 0:20 and 0:50. Nice groove going on here, love the vibe.

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

Thank you, man! I heard your latest tracks, and I think they are wonderful. Also, wow, that's such a huge compliment! I love Muse :3

Nice! Simple, relaxing, chill song. I would see this while a player has to read a narrative at the beginning of a game, when the context is explained, before the problems begin.

Good job!

johnfn responds:

haha wow that is a good description of this song! (also i am about to update this song and change it a lot, check it)

Hey what you do would fit well in some good old fashion games. You're on the good spot to make your music beign used in some videogame projects. Keep it up!

ericskiff responds:

Thanks!

Yes, it is very repetitive. You should use more variation on your melody. For exemple, you play these notes : A, G, A, F, E, D. Try other notes, even if you keep the same rythm pattern. You can play something like : A, G, A, F, E, D .. A, G, A, C, C, D.. B, C, B, B G, E.. There is an infinity of possibilities

I guess the piano and the lead instrument are coming from musescore. Musescore is great to write partitions, but it's really not good for sound quality. Try to compose your melodies (Or import you midi file from musescore) on FL and work on dynamics, add some effects to your instruments, bring it to life.

Keep putting efforts on your music comprehension, learn how to make good harmonisation, watch video tutorials on youtube about FL, equalization, mixing, mastering, learn some more music theory. You can only get better!

Continue to improve your skills, and I'm sure you will finally pass trought the scouting step. Good luck to you!

GreekAlphaBeta responds:

Ok thanks

Nice for a second song!

The begining is a little too loud, we can hear it busting the dB level, I would put some note and effects variations on the bassline too.

Search about side chain compression, it makes miracles, it will be usefull in a lot of projects.
You can use equalizers on each instrument too. This way you can make every instrument sound clear in your mix.

Try to cut the low and very high frequencies of your lead synth and boost mid-high frequency
Cut from mid to high frequencies on your bassline and boost a little bit the low frequency (Same with bass drum)
Cut from low to mid high frequencies on your high hat and boost a little bit high frequency
Read about sidechain compression and use your bass drum to cut the volume of one or more instruments in your mix when the bass drum (or any other instrument) hits. Also you can make your equalizer automation to follow an automation on your filter.
Example : when your lead synth goes on lower filter frequency, make the equalizer's frequency boost go lower.

Sidechain compression and equalizers on each instruments.

Try these things on this song and I swear you will get a better mix.

I hope it helps a little bit! And by the way I feel like you have a great potential, keep it up!

Hey! Sounds like you've got some potential! Don't give up!

someplatypusguy responds:

Thanks. More than anything I just feel kind of down on myself since I've been producing for a few years now and this is the kind of stuff I come up with. This one was sort of a joke track in some aspects.

Hey thats great! I would see this one when the hero of the game is traveling at the speed of light to the final boss, on the other side of the galaxy. Something like this. Anyways Good job!!

demon1000 responds:

Cool Thanks Man!

Great composer here! I notice that someone, probably a jaleous one, voted something like 0 or 1 on this beautiful composition. You've got my 5 stars 10/10. The only thing you need is the sound bank to make your songs sound better, but you're already doing really good with almost nothing. Big thumbs up, and I hope you come back soon with more stuff, with or without new VST's. Great job (On your other submissions too)!

Miyolophone responds:

Thank you so much sebastien01! Reading that review made me really happy, I'm glad you enjoyed the composition even with the modest library :)
...and ouch, you're right, that's gonna be a blow to the rating on this one. I appreciate your attempt to counteract it...

Hi everyone! I can make a song that fits the timing and the feeling of your project, in a classical, electronic, pop, rock, ballad way. If you want to collaborate, it will be a pleasure for me!
